Jamie Akhtar, CEO, CyberSmart

Jamie Akhtar has more than a decade of experience within the field of cybersecurity. From the age he was able to turn on a computer, he has fostered an obsession with technology, building, breaking and putting things back together. He has built more than 100 web applications and served as CTO at several organisations, including Tresor Security, Brokr and Storm International.

Akhtar is a CREST-registered Technical Security Architect, an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and certified in Information Assurance Architecture. Moreover, he is a part of the British Computer Society and the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) as well as Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP). He also wears a white hat as an ethical hacker.

In addition, Akhtar is the CEO and co-founder of CyberSmart, a cybersecurity company dedicated to helping small businesses protect themselves against common threats.
